Tanda Tula, meaning ‘to love the quiet’, is located in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, forming part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Tanda Tula is sanctuary to Africa’s Big Five, with traversing over more than 20,000 ha of wilderness and undisturbed biodiversity. Founded 30 years ago, Tanda Tula is run by owners Don and Nina Scott alongside the Jackson and Mathebula families. Choose to stay at Tanda Tula Plains Camp, a spacious and welcoming homestead overlooking a waterhole, or for the more adventurous, Tanda Tula Field Camp, an off the grid exclusive use explorer-style tented camp, nestled between the confluence of the Mopono and Nhlaralumi Rivers. Guests are guaranteed an incredible wildlife experience. Their highly skilled ranger and tracker teams guide guests in the early mornings and evenings, in open game viewing vehicles or on foot.
